It’s that time again. Tutti Mangia Italian Grill is celebrating its 19th Annual Lobster & Clambake Dinner on Sunday July 16th from 4 to 9 p.m. Join us to partake in the full dining experience of a true New England tradition.
Each guest that books a reservation will receive a steamed clam appetizer or refreshing summer salad and a full 1.5 lb. Maine lobster with all the fixings: parsley potatoes, Blue Lake green beans and corn on the cob. Additionally, an optional dessert of sea salt caramel budino is available for $10. Also on the menu is a split grilled Surf & Turf entrée featuring a half Lobster and tender filet mignon, served side by side. And for all those land-lovers, we don’t want to leave you out. You can opt for an 22oz prime rib chop if lobster is not your favorite fare. No matter your preference, you can’t go wrong!
There’s a reason why Maine lobster is so special. A true Maine lobster is a cold-water breed, which is distinguished by two large claws, whiter meat than warm water lobsters, and sweeter tasting than its Pacific or Australian cousins. The Lobster & Clambake tradition is older than America itself. Native Americans in Massachusetts, Maine and Connecticut, cooked clams and lobsters in sand pits as a means of sustenance.
When you dine at Tutti Mangia, especially for a special event like this with a one-of-a-kind meal, you’ll feel as though you’re transported; in this case, whisked away from California straight to the New England Coast to enjoy tasty Maine lobster and plump clams plucked fresh from the ocean. Remember to wear your beachwear, sans the flip flops (dress sandals are preferred).
Tutti Mangia owner, Ed Inglese is a big fan of the dinner.
“This is one of my favorite times of the year,” said Inglese. “Guests come in and enjoy something they may not have had before. Our staff will even guide them on how to properly crack it open if it’s your first time and offer wine pairing suggestions for each course.”
You must experience it for yourself to truly understand why it is such a special event.
